The Miva Memoirs: Five Days Feels like FOREVER!

I have 5 days worth of blogging that I never published! So here's a quick recap of my week!

Sunday, June 5th

The kids have been begging that we use the slip n slide. Since it was 87 degrees today here in Elk Ridge Utah I gave in and let them slip and slide away. Five minutes later the slip n slide broke. They were mildly disappointed so I turned on the lawn sprinklers! Little did I know that today was fast Sunday in the LDS church. The first Sunday of every month the young men go out and collect fasting tithes. Just as I was starting them up one of the young men were walking across my lawn! I felt pretty bad, but I know his parents, it was ok.

Monday, June 6th

I am biting the bullet. I am going to suck it up and take Ethan, Rileigh and Parker to the Payson Aquatic Center...Every time we drive by there my cutie patootie Parker screams "WATERSLIDES!", even if it's the dead of winter, he wants to go there.

So imagine this little guy:

And the excitement he felt when we actually pulled into the water park. I thought he was going to go into convulsions. When we got up to the entrance there was a rather long line to pay the admission fee. He kept jumping up and down and after about 5 minutes in line he tugged my hand, I looked down and to my shock... he handed me his shorts! He was ready right then and there! :) He had a great time even though he was disappointed that he wasn't big enough to ride the big slides :)

Tuesday, June 7th

Today is BUNKO. The first Tuesday of every month this amazing group of ladies from the Elk Ridge area get together and play BUNKO. I love going and hearing the stories, sharing laughter and of course playing a fun little game. Rileigh had a softball game tonight. It's amazing the progress this little girl has made in three weeks!

Also, Tuesday is special for another reason... I am addicted to The Voice. :) I love the show and I don't mind Adam Levine!

Wednesday, June 8th

I decided that I was going to try the Sacred Heart Diet...My friend Wendy and her Daughter Aubrey came over and we made the soup. It smelled great. Then I did some research and learned that it's just a fad and it's not really going to help. I guess that's how all diets are huh? So I have decided that I new a "lifestyle" change. No, I'm not coming out of the closet thank you very much. But I am going to start eating healthier. I am going to commit to the gym more. And... I will....give up.... Coke. LOL That might kill me.

Thursday, June 9th

I am at my wits end. The kids are driving me bonkers. I think they know that. In my mind I really believe that they are plotting against me. I can see Parker and Griffin chatting under their cribs with a flashlight planning their next moves to make mommy crazy. I can make it one more day as a single mom. I can. Maybe. Just keep repeating that! lol I give mad props to all the single mothers out there. You have strength far beyond imagination!

Friday, June 10th

This morning was chaos. I had a doctor's appointment and have to get the house ready for Chad to come home. His flight doesn't get into Salt Lake until 10 and then its a 80 minute drive home for him so it's going to be a long day. I have a marathon of cleaning to do... not looking forward to that!
